There was a definite Morpeth Harriers dominance in the Run Northumberland Cragside 10k, held in the grounds of the famous historic property in Rothbury on Saturday 19th March.
The club had the first three in the event, which had 465 finishers. Mark Snowball, who has been in superb form of late, won in a new personal best time of 34m25s, finishing over two minutes ahead of club colleague Matthew Boyle (36m39s), who himself was hoping to win the event for the second year running. Boyle just managed to outsprint another Morpeth club colleague Mark Cockburn (36m39s) for second place.
Also well placed in the Women’s event was Morpeth’s Lorna MacDonald, who was third finisher in 43m28s.
Other Morpeth Harriers finishers were as follows Colin Archer (9th) 38m52s, Andrew Leeson (19th) 41m26s, Paul Banks (22nd) 41m46s, Richard Kirby (31st) 43m01s, Gary Mason (43rd) 43m53s, Paul Willis (47th) 44m21s, Damian Foster (71st) 46m10s, Simon Eaton (118th) 49m01s, Jane Kirby (119th) 49m31s, and Margaret MacDonald (281st) 57m49s.
