Morpeth Harrier Ady Whitwam had his last race in his final build up for his appearance in next weeks London Marathon,
when he took part in the Salford 10k on Good Friday.
In a very strong field, led home by Salford’s Marc Brown,
who posted a winning time of 30m49s,
Whitwam, despite suffering a loose shoe lace with nearly
two miles remaining, continued to finish an excellent 13th
in 31m56s, and he was second Veteran Man.
Whitwam’s form indicates a very promising
run in the nation’s capital.
