have now met, and have finalised their respective Male and Female squads for the annual CAU Inter Counties Championships, which are scheduled to be held on Saturday 9th March 2019, at Prestwold Hall in Loughborough.
Selected to run, and providing they are fit are a total of fourteen athletes from the ranks of Morpeth Harrier & AC,
and nine athletes from the club are also selected as stand by reserves.
Ten of the selected athletes are from the Male section of the club,
with four Female athletes finding favour with the selectors.
Amongst the stand by reserves are six of the club’s Male athletes, with three coming from the Female section.
North of England Silver Medallist Carl Avery is included in the regions Senior Men’s squad,
and fellow Morpeth Harriers Andrew Lawrence and Jordan Scott are included
in the list of stand by reserves for this event.
Emma Holt and Catriona MacDonald are included in the regions Senior Women’s line-up,
whilst Rachelle Falloon is a stand by reserve.
Four members of the club are included in the Under 20 Men’s line-up.
They are North East Silver medallist Taylor Glover, Northern Champion
Rory Leonard, Kieran Hedley, and Matthew Briggs.
Gracie Hufton is selected to run for the regions Under 20 Women’s squad,
and Kay Errington has been named as a stand by reserve.
Two Morpeth Harriers have been selected to run for the regions Under 17 Men’s squad.
North Eastern Silver medallist Daniel Dixon, and Northern team Gold Medallist Ross Charlton
are both included, and three members of Morpeth’s Gold Medal team,
Tom Balsdon, Daniel Melling, and Rowan Bennett are all included in the list of stand by reserves.
Holly Peck, Morpeth’s North Eastern Silver medallist is selected to run for the regions Under 17 Women’s team.
Recent excellent form has given Morpeth’s Ben Walker a superb opportunity to repay the
selectors favour, by running for the regions Under 15 Boys squad.
Morpeth’s Abi Leiper is a stand by reserve to the regions Under 15 Girls squad.
North Eastern Silver medallist Ryan Davies lines up in the regions Under 13 Boys squad,
along with his Morpeth club colleague Joe Dixon, younger brother of Daniel.
Bertie Marr of Morpeth is named as a stand by reserve to this squad.
