when he superbly won the Bridges of Tyne 5 Mile Road Race
at Newcastle Quayside on Tuesday 7th July 2015.
The Morpeth Harrier won with sixteen seconds to spare
over Jarrow and Hebburn’s Andy Burn in 25m27s,
with Gateshead Harriers Under 20 athlete Jed Marshall
taking third place only a mere further three seconds adrift.
Just outside the Championship medals was
Morpeth Harrier Ross Floyd, who finished fourth in 25m53s.
Kevin Calvert came home in sixth place overall in 26m16s,
sealing a Morpeth Harriers Men’s Team victory by providing
good support to the equally excellent efforts of Timmins and Floyd.
The only other Morpeth Harrier in action in the 381 finishers
was Jane Briggs, who finished 137th overall,
and was 18th Lady finisher,
and was second in the Over 45 Veteran category.
