Four Morpeth Harriers were in competitive action at the BMC Grand Prix meeting
at Sports City in Manchester on the evening of Saturday 14th May,
and three of them achieved lifetime personal best performances.
One of these was Scott Beattie, who certainly furthered his chances of Junior International call up,
when he set new figures of 3m52.95s in his 1500m event, where he finished tenth in his talent filled heat.
This performance puts him twelfth in the UK age group rankings for the event, and well out in front regionally.
It was also an excellent night for fellow Morpeth Harriers Andy Wiles and Ross Floyd,
who also respectively clocked new figures of 14m25.68s, and 15m13.04s in their 5000m events.
Another Morpeth Harrier in action, who is very rarely seen on these shores,
was Portuguese import Paulo Pinhero, who clocked a seasons best of 3m51.25s in the B race of the 1500m.
